Our Faqs

CBD is everywhere now and is an increasingly popular supplement all over the world. With a massive influx of companies selling CBD oils and other products it is difficult to know where and how to start.

CBD Facts

CBD is the abbreviation for cannabidiol and is one of the many cannabinoids found in the hemp/cannabis plant – CBD is what gives the plant its many therapeutic effects. Scientists have identified at least 133 other active cannabinoids found in these plants, CBD being the most abundant cannabinoid. CBD has become popular as an ingredient in food supplements due to its many potential roles in regulating our bodies wellbeing.

Only discovered in 1992 by scientists, this in simple terms is a system within our bodies that works hard to regulate health and maintain homeostasis.  It is thought to keep all other systems in our body in balance such as – Immune functions,  inflammation, sleep, pain response,  mood Control, memory,  plus many more…

The ECS, when working correctly, is efficient in keeping us balanced and for maintaining the other systems we have in place in our bodies.  However, many external reasons during our busy, everyday lives can cause our ECS to become less efficient.

This can lead to what scientists call an endocannabinoid deficiency, where the body can become ‘less-balanced’ and illness can occur.

CBD may also limit inflammation in the brain and nervous system, which may benefit people experiencing pain, insomnia and certain immune-system responses.

CBD isolate is 99.9% pure CBD. It is the purest form of CBD. During the CBD isolate extraction process, everything contained in the plant matter is removed, including any traces of THC, terpenes, and more. What you’re left with is pure CBD…and nothing else.  This form of CBD is not legal in the UK or Europe to ingest however is the preferred method for skin applications according to the CTPA

(The Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfume Association) as “plant derived CBD may be used in finished cosmetic products…(it) must be in pure form and not contain any controlled substances such as specific controlled cannabinoids;… the ingredient must not contain any controlled substances, such as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC);”

Full-spectrum CBD contains everything the plant contains. Full-spectrum CBD is full of all the terpenes, cannabinoids, flavonoids, and fatty acids found in hemp, all of which have therapeutic value of their own and help create what’s known as the entourage effect  -the interaction of all the compounds together.  This contains a low level of THC – the maximum UK level is 0.2%.

Broad-spectrum CBD is a little bit of both. Broad-spectrum CBD is full-spectrum CBD that has been filtered so that it is without any THC. It is said to have all the benefits associated with full-spectrum CBD, without any traces of THC.

Our water-soluble formulations are Broad Spectrum – using the newest and most innovative technology we are able to offer a product that has all the benefits of full spectrum but with nearly zero trace THC.

Common questions

Yes,  CBD is legal in the UK and much of Europe and the USA. Please research your specific country for an updated legal status.

CBD on its own can’t get you ‘high’ and has no psychoactive properties whatsoever. The part of the plant to cause the high is the compound THC. To be legally compliant in the UK and Europe products must contain less than 0.2% THC.

WADA – The World Anti-Doping Agency updated their prohibited drugs list in 2018 and CBD no longer lists as prohibited for use in athletes. All our products are within the recommended THC levels for the UK, Europe and the USA.

So therefore you have the reassurance that they are legal within those areas. However, please check within your specific country before purchasing and using CBD.

This is dependent on the legality of CBD in the country you are travelling to.  We recommend you check before travelling.

Comprehensive research on healthy pregnant women and CBD doesn’t not yet exist and we cannot advise on this.

We cannot recommend or advise on giving CBD to anyone under 18.

CBD is a supplement to your daily health regime. It’s important to check with your doctor first if you’re taking any other medications.

The reality is that everybody is different and there are many factors that need to be considered when choosing the right dose for you, for example: age, weight, sex, other medications you might be taking. It also will depend on what ailment or heath issue you are wanting to treat.

The standard recommendation is to start small, depending on the recommended dose of the specific product you are taking. Experiment for three to five days so that your body has time to adjust and react to the CBD, then adjust the dose accordingly up or down.

Product questions

We advise you store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat as this can play a part in the breakdown of cannabinoids like CBD.
